Compact cars with sedan for a long time nobody was interested. But now a growing segment and Skoda wants from a new sedan called the 2013 Skoda Rapid. Here is the first information.

Skoda sees the growing market for classic sedans in the compact segment. With the notchback, the Rapid is the future in good company, that is in competition with corporate siblings. Rapid customers can choose from seven different engines
Five petrol engines and two diesel units are available as compact sedan drives to choose from. To the drives, the manufacturer could not disclose any details. Logically, it will be the usual suspects from the Volkswagen-shelf. The range is therefore likely to start with a 1.2-liter petrol engine, which provides in the Gulf, for example, 85 hp. Would rank at the top end of the 2.0 TDI with 140 hp. The show premiere of the new Skoda Rapid is at the Paris Motor Show 2012 (27 September to 14 October). The launch will take place in Europe from autumn 2012, several months before the technique Twin Seat Toledo, which comes only in spring 2013. The price is not yet known.
